Garlic edamame
Overview
Summer is the season for edamame. The beans are tender and cheap. Reward yourself by making a dish of spicy garlic sauce. It’s spicy and fragrant. It’s no worse than the ones sold at late-night snack stalls!

Steps
-
Choose fresh edamame (not too plump, I like to eat tender ones), wash the outer hair and cut off both ends. Add water to the soup pot, add the aniseed ingredients and bring to a boil, add some salt, add the edamame and cook for 8-10 minutes
-
Drain the water and don’t overcook the beans (I cooked them a little too big this time)
-
Heat the oil, add garlic and chili pepper and stir-fry until fragrant
-
Add the edamame, cooking wine, salt, and a little boiling water, stir-fry until all the flavors are soaked in, and you are ready to serve

The bowl was full and we both ate half of it in one go
