Blanch the pig's trotters, wash and set aside.

Heat oil in a pot, add peppercorns, aniseed, green onion, ginger and garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.

Add pig trotters, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar and salt and stir-fry evenly.

Pour in water and bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for one and a half hours.

Simply braised pig trotters is enough!
