Steps
-
Put the dough ingredients except butter into the ACA bread machine and knead for 2 minutes, then add the butter and continue kneading for 20 minutes. If you still feel the dough is dry after adding milk, you can add some more milk as appropriate to avoid too much!
-
After kneading the dough, you can stretch out the thin film
-
Then knead it smooth and put it in the bread machine to ferment for 1 hour
-
Press the fermented dough with your hands. If there is no shrinkage, it proves that it is fermented!
-
Knead the dough until smooth, weigh and divide into 2 pieces, cover with plastic wrap and continue to rise for 10 minutes
-
Roll the dough into a rectangular shape, try to make it as long as possible, but don’t over-roll the dough, otherwise the fascia will break!
-
When the dough is fermenting, stir the walnut kernels and dried black currants evenly with the honey butter
-
Spread evenly on the dough
-
Then roll it up and pinch the bottom tightly
-
Cut the noodles in the middle and intertwine the two strands of noodles into a braid
-
Put in the baking pan and continue the second fermentation. The oven fermentation function can be 30 degrees for 40 minutes. Put a bowl of cold water in the oven to maintain humidity. If you don’t have an oven, put it in the microwave without turning on any function keys. Put a bowl of warm water in the bowl to ferment naturally for 1 hour. If you can see that the bread is full, it’s done!
-
During the second batch, we can boil the syrup ourselves and boil it over low heat until it is thick but not yellow, and still relatively transparent! Take out the fermented dough, preheat the oven to an actual temperature of 200 degrees, turn the heat up and down, and bake the middle layer for 25 minutes. Immediately brush the bread with syrup when you take it out. You will find that it really feels brand new and brightened a lot! Once cool, enjoy! (The syrup must be brushed on the bread when it comes out of the oven. If you have maple sugar, don’t boil the syrup. Just brush the maple sugar on it.)

Cut off a small corner and taste it, it smells so good!
