In a small bowl of meat filling, add onion, ginger, salt, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, five-spice powder, and chives, and stir clockwise

Mix ½ flour + ½ starch + one egg + a little salt + a little water to make a paste

Cut the lotus root into slices with a knife, I forgot to save the picture, put the prepared meat filling in the middle, and dip it in a layer of dry starch.

Heat the oil for 7 layers and bring to a simmer. Coat the lotus root box from step 3 with the batter from step 2. Put it in the pan and fry for 4 minutes. Take it out and fry again for another minute.
