Five-color dumplings
Overview
The colors used in five-color dumplings are mostly derived from natural pigments found in vegetables and fruits. Because my picture doesn’t indicate which vegetable the color comes from, I’ll explain it here. Green is spinach, pink is dragon fruit skin, yellow is carrot, orange is red bell pepper, and white is naturally the color of ordinary flour.

Steps
-
Use a food processor to press vegetables of various colors separately and filter to extract the juice. Take appropriate amount of flour and knead the dough. Set the mixed dough of various colors aside to rest
-
Mix stuffing. Chop the green onions into mince, add the prepared seasonings to the prepared pork stuffing one by one and stir clockwise. When stirred, set aside.
-
Take out the risen colored dough. You can wrap it in any color you like. The example I used here is green and white. Take a small portion of each of the white and green dough and place it on the board. Because I wanted to look like cabbage, I chose green on the outside. Shape the green dough into a long strip.
-
Wrap the good green dough around the white dough
-
Let the green dough completely wrap the white dough tightly, and pinch the four sides tightly, otherwise the white dough will come out and the beautiful effect will not be achieved
-
Roll the wrapped green dough into a long strip
-
Then cut it into small pieces. When you cut it, you can see that it is white inside and green outside. Very cute, right
-
The following is simple. Just wrap it as we usually make dumplings. First, wrap the dumplings

I also made a few small buns similar to cabbage. Hehe, I don’t know how to wrap cabbage, so I made a few blindly. Don’t laugh. I also ask friends who know how to wrap cabbage shapes to teach me. Tried many times but failed. Just wrap it up and steam it for 15 minutes.

This is a colorful bag from the last time.

It can also be boiled. The dumplings are still delicious
-
The color of the dumplings will become lighter after being cooked. I have tried many methods but are not very satisfied.

The biggest difference is probably green. Although the color has changed, the taste is still very good, hehe
