Overview
Northerners love to eat rice. When I was a child, rice was eaten for lunch and dinner. My family’s rice is quite special. Every time I make rice, my mother will add the Northeast’s unique large red beans to the rice. After the beans in the pot are cooked, add the rice to stew the rice. I particularly like this kind of rice. The beans are fragrant and floury, giving the rice a new texture and taste. Sometimes when there is too much rice, my mother will add some vegetables to the rice to make fried rice. With a bowl of such fried rice, other dishes are omitted.

Ingredients: rice, black fungus (soaked in advance), green peppers, eggs, carrots, enoki mushrooms, green onions, and leeks.
