Sunflower Buns
Overview
I accidentally saw sunflowers in my child’s textbook, so I made this steamed bun for my child using pumpkin puree. The finished product is warm and cute, and is very popular with children. O(∩_∩)O

Ingredients
Steps
-
Cut the pumpkin into thin slices and steam directly on the steamer. (The advantage of steaming this way is that the pumpkin can absorb less water)
-
Put the flour, pumpkin puree, and appropriate amount of yeast water in a larger vessel, and knead it into a three-gloss dough with your hands.
-
Let the dough rise until it doubles in size. Then deflate thoroughly and roll the dough into a thin disc. Use a round mold to take a round dough piece.
-
Use the mold to take out countless small semi-circular doughs. (I used the head of the Mickey mold to take it. You can also use a small round mold to take a round shape and cut it from the middle. Or you can use your hands to knead out a small round dough)
-
Apply water to the small semi-circular dough piece and stick it around the large round dough piece. Place the prepared steamed bun embryos in a steamer to rise for 15 minutes. Turn the steamer on high heat, turn the heat to medium after the water boils, steam for 15 minutes, turn off the heat, and simmer for 5 minutes before removing from the pot.
-
After the steamed buns have cooled down, melt the chocolate over water and put it into a piping bag. Draw a smiley face on the round dough piece ^_^
