Homemade fried dough sticks
Overview
Fried dough sticks, when I was a kid, I could have a meal of freshly baked fried dough sticks, crispy and sweet, paired with a bowl of soy milk. It was such a beautiful day. When I grow up, I still like to eat fried dough sticks, but the fried dough sticks have been modified into various flavors. Occasionally I walk by the roadside and look at the dirty stalls with black fingernails, which is really off-putting. I must be a real foodie. In order to eat healthy and safe fried dough sticks, I spent some time practicing and looking for recipes online. Today I finally dared to show them pictures. Eating homemade fried dough sticks and drinking fragrant soy milk, this breakfast was a success. A good day starts with fried dough sticks!

Ingredients
Steps
-
Mix all ingredients except cooking oil into flour and slowly try to add water.
-
You need to control the softness and hardness of the noodles yourself. I feel that it is the kind that is soft and flows downward when held in the hand. After the dough is mixed, add 10 grams of cooking oil and continue kneading. After kneading, it needs to rest for 10 minutes.
-
The dough is folded repeatedly with hands, like folding a quilt. After folding, fold one side over the other. Repeat the folding many times. Finally, shape the dough into a rectangular shape and wrap it in plastic wrap. Note that a certain amount of space needs to be left in the plastic wrap to allow the fermented dough to grow. Place in the refrigerator for 8 hours.
-
I made the dough at night, and the next morning it was ready, and I brushed a layer of cooking oil on the surface. Take the fermented dough out of the refrigerator and let it warm for an hour.
-
Divide the warmed dough into rectangles, cut them into strips with a knife, press the two strips on top of each other with chopsticks, pull them up and fry them in the oil pan. They will be cooked in 2 minutes. Pay attention to the oil temperature to be controlled at 200 degrees.
-
The fried dough sticks in the pan need to be constantly rolled so that they are heated evenly and continue to grow.
-
The fried dough sticks are ready. Depending on your taste, you can choose high or low heat. I like them crispy and high.
