Soak the powdered skin in cold water.

Mine has a thin pink crust, which is particularly easy to soak and softens in a few minutes.

Wash the cabbage core.

Cut into cubes.

Heat oil in a wok, add peppercorns and fry until fragrant.

Add the onion and ginger.

Add red bean paste.

Fry out the red oil.

Add cabbage and stir-fry.

While the cabbage is being stir-fried, remove the vermicelli and cut into strips.

Add salt and stir-fry the cabbage until soft.

Add vermicelli.

Pour the vermicelli into the cabbage soup, use the soup to blanch the vermicelli until it becomes translucent and serve (about half a minute).
