Homemade yogurt (bread machine version)
Overview
When you don’t have enough fresh milk, you can make delicious and nutritious yogurt. Babies under one year old cannot drink fresh milk, but yogurt is fine. The yogurt you make does not contain additives and is nutritious and healthy

Prepare 1000ml of fresh milk (if you don’t have fresh milk, you can use commercially available pure milk) and 100ml of yogurt. The yogurt is the fermented yeast I made last time. If you don’t have it, you can buy commercially available original yogurt or yogurt fermentation powder containing live bacteria

Sterilize the bread machine bucket with boiling water and soak it for a few minutes, pour out the water and set aside for later use. Containers that come into contact with yogurt must be sterilized

Put a small amount of water into the pot for boiling milk

Pour the fresh milk in. If you buy sterilized pure milk, you don’t need to boil it, just cook it directly

Add sugar, cook on low heat for about 10 minutes

Allow the milk to cool to room temperature, add 5 tablespoons of milk powder, and stir evenly. The purpose is to make the yogurt thicker. There is no need to remove the milk skin, just mash it directly

Pour 100ml of yogurt

Mix well

Pour into the bread machine bucket, select the yogurt program, cover and ferment for 8-10 hours

The prepared yogurt is thick, like tofu curd

You can add honey and your favorite fruits when eating, or you can make a salad and eat it
