Christmas Season [Christmas Chicken Family Steamed Buns]
Overview
Christmas is coming soon. I wanted to give my children a surprise. After I sent her to kindergarten, I started making this chicken steamed bun at home. When she came home from school, the chicken family was successfully born. The children were so happy when they saw it that they held it in their hands and couldn't bear to eat. The surprise goal was achieved~~ The recipe is referenced from ¬_Hui Hui Food Diary_

Ingredients
Steps
-
First knead the yellow dough, pour 20g of water into the bowl, and then add dry yeast. Stir well and let it sit for 5 minutes
-
Add yeast water, pumpkin puree, and flour into the bread machine barrel (the humidity of pumpkin puree varies, so add or subtract flour according to actual conditions)
-
Knead into a smooth dough, put it into a clean container, cover with plastic wrap, and proceed to the first fermentation
-
The same goes for white dough. The yeast must be dissolved in water first. Then put it into the bread machine bucket and add flour
-
Knead into a smooth dough, put it into a clean container, cover with plastic wrap, and proceed to the first fermentation
-
Let it grow until doubled in size
-
The pumpkin dough can be doubled in size
-
After fermentation, take it out and knead it continuously on a surface sprinkled with dry powder to release the air. Only by kneading repeatedly in this way will the surface of the steamed buns be smooth
-
After the air is released, cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest
-
First divide the white dough into 4 small pieces of 60g
-
Divide the yellow dough into 2 small pieces of 60g, and then divide into 8 small pieces of 30g
-
Roll out the remaining white dough into thin sheets and use a flower-shaped mold to cut out 8 flower-shaped dough sheets
-
Then use a knife to cut out the shape of chicken wings as shown
-
Brush a little water and stick to the corresponding parts
-
Do the same with yellow dough and make four yellow wings
-
Stick it in the corresponding place
-
Grab a little more yellow dough, roll it into a round shape and cut a slit with a scraper
-
Make a white hen's mouth and glue it
-
Then add a little red powder to the remaining yellow dough and knead it into a red smooth dough. If it feels dry, add a little water
-
Divide the red dough into 6 3g small pieces and shape them into the shape of a Christmas hat with your hands. Then roll the white dough into a long shape to make a border
-
Take a little red dough to make the mouth of the yellow hen and glue it on. The hat is also placed in the corresponding position for the second fermentation, 32 degrees for 20 minutes
-
Continue to make the little chick’s Christmas hat, 1.5g each, and the little chick’s mouth
-
Put it in the corresponding position and also perform the second serve
-
After it has risen, steam it in a pot with cold water. After the water boils, steam it for 20 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes before opening the lid
-
Steam and serve
-
The little chicken is also out of the pot
-
Finally, use a baking pen to draw expressions and you’re done
-
Finished product
-
Adorable Christmas chicken family~
