Hot and sour stir-fried lotus root
Overview
People here in Hubei are particularly fond of lotus root strips, and so is our family. We bought and ate them almost every now and then until they were taken off the shelves! The lotus root band and the lotus root are homologous organs. When the conditions are suitable, the lotus root band swells and becomes a lotus root. My understanding is that it is a lotus root that has not grown up yet~! Hot and sour and stir-fried are relatively common recipes. Let’s try something spicy today!

Wash the lotus root strips with clean water and rinse away the silt!

Cut into oblique sections

Cut the red pepper into diagonal sections and set aside

Heat an appropriate amount of oil in the pot, add garlic and red pepper and sauté until fragrant

Then pour in the lotus root strips and stir-fry

Stir-fry for a while, then add the red pepper and stir-fry together

Add salt and MSG to taste
