Add powdered sugar to softened butter.

Mix well.

Pour in high-gluten flour.

Rub the butter and flour together with your hands.

Add egg mixture.

Knead into dough.

Divide the dough into three parts and roll one part into a long strip.

Use a rolling pin to roll out the long strip and pipe a long strip of lotus paste filling.

Wrap the lotus paste filling with dough sheets and gently knead it into a round bar.

I also made bean paste flavored strips.

Brush the surface of the long strips with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Cut into equal length pieces with a knife.

Arrange on baking sheet.

Preheat the oven to 180℃ for about 25 minutes (temperature and time are for reference only)

You can change the fillings to different flavors.
