Casserole with Pork Ribs, Cabbage and Vermicelli in Clay Pot
Overview
It was this casserole that my family and I ate in the military canteen many years ago when my father was hospitalized in Beijing 301. It was so delicious that the whole family had to order it for every meal during this period.

Soak the vermicelli in cold water until soft, wash and soak the sea rice until soft, wash and shred the cabbage

Put the ribs in a pot under cold water and add an appropriate amount of cooking wine, blanch the onion and ginger, remove and drain, and set aside

Put the pot under water again, add the pork ribs, add pepper, aniseed, onion, ginger, salt and light soy sauce and cook

Heat the pan, add oil, add onion, ginger, and peppercorns and slowly stir-fry until the aroma comes out. Add the pork ribs and stir-fry until the aroma comes out

Add cabbage and stir-fry until soft

Put the fried cabbage and pork ribs into a casserole, add pork rib soup, add appropriate amount of salt and chicken powder, season with light soy sauce and cook for 3 minutes

Add vermicelli and cook until soft

Add dried shrimps, pepper and bring to a boil, turn off the heat and add balsamic vinegar and serve
