Overview
Wild rice is also called water bamboo, water bamboo, bamboo shoots, water bamboo shoots, water melon, water bamboo, water ear, green knot, high bamboo shoots. Wild rice is sweet in taste and cold in nature; it returns to the spleen and stomach meridians and has the effects of dispelling heat and promoting fluid production, quenching thirst, diuresis, and removing dampness. It is mainly used to treat diseases such as abdominal pain caused by heat-wetness, persistent heat in the middle burner, polydipsia, difficulty in defecation, alcoholism, and lack of breast milk.
