Cold folded ear root
Overview
Zheergen is the root of Houttuynia Cordata and is a special dish favored by locals in Guizhou Province. My brother and I, who were born there, basically cannot live without it. More than 20 years ago, when my parents were transferred to the north, we had never eaten it again. We have always been thinking about its taste. Later, my late mother planted Houttuynia cordata in the flower pond upstairs. It may be due to the climate. Some time ago, I happened to find a local old lady’s online shop selling folded root. So I bought ten pounds of it online and called me to go home to mix it and taste it. No, I can finally enjoy a big meal and taste the taste that I have missed for a long time. I think, like me, the deep feeling of missing me is due to missing my mother.

Pick the root of the ear into 4 cm long pieces, wash it with water, let it cool and boil it, put it in a bowl and set aside.
