Steps

  1. Add cake flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, and matcha powder all into a large bowl

  2. Cut the butter into cubes and add it to the flour

  3. Knead lightly with your hands to combine the flour with butter. Finally, knead it into coarse corn meal.

  4. Crack the eggs into a small bowl and beat with chopsticks

  5. Slowly add into the flour and mix well with a spatula

  6. The mixed flour will be coarse, then slowly add milk in batches and mix well

  7. Pour the dough onto the working mat and use a spatula to knead the dough into a ball. Do not over-knead. Cover with plastic wrap and rest for 20 minutes

  8. Sprinkle a little flour on the operating mat to prevent sticking

  9. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1 cm and press it out into a heart shape

  10. Arrange them one by one on a baking sheet lined with greaseproof paper

  11. Brush the surface with a thin layer of whole egg wash

  12. Place in the middle rack of the oven, heat up and down to 180 degrees, for about 15 minutes

  13. Two scones and a cup of scented tea. Nice afternoon tea.
