Braised Pork Ribs with Dried Bamboo Shoots
Overview
Last time my sister came over and brought some dried bamboo shoots. I soaked them a few times and used them to stir-fry bacon. They were so fragrant that I was a little reluctant to eat them. These dried bamboo shoots are made from young bamboo shoots and are very strong. Now I have the last bit left to stew the ribs. I felt that the portion was a bit too small, so I added some dried beans. When the stew is made, the aroma fills the room. The ribs are crispy and the dried vegetables are chewy. It is a good dish to go with both wine and rice.
