Wash the shrimps, cut off the shrimp whiskers, and remove the shrimp threads from the back.

Cut the green onion into diagonal slices and shred the ginger. Cut cilantro into long sections.

Stir tomato paste, chicken essence, sugar and water into tomato juice and set aside.
