  1. Soak the vermicelli in water until soft.

  6. Pour oil into the pot, add star anise and stir-fry over low heat until fragrant.

  7. Add shredded ginger and chili and continue to stir-fry until fragrant.

  9. Add cooking wine and light soy sauce, stir-fry evenly, pour in a small bowl of boiling water, cover and simmer for a while.
