Rice cake
Overview
I remember eating rice cakes once more than 20 years ago. It was made by a classmate’s mother. I thought rice cakes were delicious at that time, but my mother didn’t know how to make them, so I haven’t eaten rice cakes in so many years. I made it once a few days ago but failed. This time I succeeded and gave it to my mother. She also liked it. It has a slightly sweet and soft texture and is easier to digest. When you want to eat it in the future, you can make it yourself.

Steps
-
Ingredients: flour, rice and sugar.
-
After washing the rice, soak it in water for a few hours.
-
Put the soaked rice into the wall breaker and add water. I added it to the lowest limit.
-
Grind into rice pulp and pour into a basin.
-
Add sugar.
-
Add flour.
-
Add yeast powder.
-
Add baking powder.
-
Stir into a thicker rice paste and leave it to ferment in a warm place. The fermented rice paste will expand and have bubbles on the surface.
-
Prepare a small bowl that can be steamed in a pot, and brush it with a layer of oil so that the steamed rice cakes can be taken out quickly.
-
Stir the fermented rice paste with chopsticks, then pour it into a small bowl. It should be about 70-80% full. After the water boils, steam it for 20 minutes. Let it cool before eating it (you can sprinkle some black sesame seeds in the bowl).
-
The steamed rice cake is soft, slightly sweet, and extremely delicious.
