Sweet and sour coral radish

Sweet and sour coral radish

Overview

There is a saying among Guangxi people: A hero has a hard time with a beauty, and a beauty has a hard time with sour things (things). It can be seen that the salty and sour food spoken by people in Guangdong and Guangxi is so deeply rooted in the hearts of the people and so popular. I just happened to watch an episode of "Daily Diet" and the sweet and sour cherry radish from Beautiful Chef. The cherry radish was cut into slices like small red corals. It was very attractive, so we took action. In the United States, it is not easy to buy our big radish, but small cherry radishes are very common, cheap and beautiful.

  2. In order to prevent the knife from cutting all the way to the bottom and make the depth uniform when cutting into continuous slices, place two bamboo skewers on both sides of the radish at an angle of about 90° with the blade of the radish, so that the knife will not cut to the bottom but the depth will be even;

  3. Cut into thin slices according to step 2;

  4. Salt the cut radishes briefly, rinse them with cold boiling water, then put the radish into a bowl, add white vinegar and water to boil, put it into the radish bowl, add an appropriate amount of sugar, and test the taste. If it is too sour, add some cold boiled water. If it is not sweet enough, add some sugar until the taste is moderately sweet and sour. Let it sit for about 15 minutes before eating.
