Steamed egg custard

Overview

When it comes to steamed egg custard, everyone agrees with me. The recipe for steamed egg custard is very simple. I never sift it. Beat the eggs, add an appropriate amount of boiling water and stir evenly. Steam it in the drawer and it's ready! It is delicate and tender and melts in the mouth. The elderly and children love to eat it. Every time they steam a large bowl or a small pot, it is not enough to eat without it.

  1. Choose 6 large eggs. If there are many people, you will need 5 to 6 eggs every time you steam the egg custard. It is best to use fresh eggs.

  4. Use chopsticks to stir evenly. It is best to have a manual egg beater. Use an egg beater to stir more evenly. Use chopsticks to stir for a while until the egg yolk and protein are completely dispersed. This is the first step. Beat the eggs and mix with water.

  5. Add salt, chopped green onion and oil and stir evenly. It is best to use soybean oil. The golden color of the steamed custard is particularly appetizing. If you don’t have soybean oil, you can use any kind of oil. It’s equally delicious if you add sesame oil or light soy sauce without adding any oil. It depends on your personal preference. This is the second step, adding seasonings.

  6. Add an appropriate amount of water to the pot, put the mixed egg liquid on the steamer, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to low heat and steam for 10 to 15 minutes. It depends on the amount of custard to be steamed and the thickness of the container used. This large bowl is very thick, and 6 eggs are not a lot. Steam for 15 minutes. This is the third step to steam in the drawer. Bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to low heat and steam for 10 to 15 minutes.

  7. When taking out the steamed custard, be careful not to burn your hands while wearing gloves. If you didn’t add any oil before steaming, you can add some sesame oil or light soy sauce if you like.
