Overview

Date cake was originally a royal cake of the Qing Dynasty. It is fragrant and sweet in the mouth. It contains vitamin C, protein, calcium, iron, vitamins and other nutrients.   1. Prepare materials.

  2. Wash the red dates and boil them in water for about half an hour.

  3. Remove and drain the water, peel and core. Make red dates into fine date puree.

  4. Separate egg whites and egg yolks.

  5. Add 10g brown sugar, date paste, corn oil and milk to the egg yolk and stir evenly with chopsticks.

  6. Add the sifted low-gluten flour, baking powder, and salt to step 6 and mix well with a spatula.

  7. Add a few drops of white vinegar to the egg whites and beat at low speed until they form a rough foam.

  8. Add 40g brown sugar and continue to beat until the egg whites can pull out curved peaks when the whisk is lifted.

  9. Take out 1/3 of the egg white and pour it into the egg yolk paste. Use a rubber spatula to gently stir to combine.

  10. Pour all the mixed egg yolk batter into the remaining egg white bowl.

  12. Pour the cake batter into the mold and shake the mold gently to remove air bubbles.

  13. Preheat the oven to 165 degrees and bake on the middle rack for 30 minutes.
