Steamed Pomfret
Overview
Pomfret is a common economic fish on our coast. In recent years, due to excessive fishing, the price of pomfret has been on the upward trend. Pomfret has delicate meat, fresh and tender taste, soft and few spines. Pomfret is sweet, flat and light in nature, rich in protein and various other nutrients. It has the effects of nourishing qi and blood, softening muscles and bones, and is effective in treating indigestion, spleen deficiency and diarrhea, anemia, and muscle and bone pain. There are many ways to cook pomfret, and steaming is one of the main ways to cook pomfret. Fresh pomfret does not need to be added with any seasoning, just steam it directly in the pot. This time I chose to use small pomfret to make an innovative steaming method. The so-called innovation is to creatively transform the juice, which can not only reflect the freshness of the fish, but also highlight the identity of the whole dish.
