Overview
Mapo Tofu is explained by Baidu as: one of the traditional famous dishes of Sichuan Province, belonging to Sichuan cuisine. The main raw materials are ingredients and tofu. The main ingredients include tofu, minced beef (pork can also be used), chili and Sichuan peppercorns. The numbness comes from Sichuan peppercorns and the spiciness comes from chili peppers. This dish highlights the spicy characteristics of Sichuan cuisine.

Cut the tofu into small pieces; cut the green onion into sections; slice the ginger; mince the garlic and pepper; add the minced meat or diced meat with cooking wine, Sichuan peppercorns, salt, Sichuan peppercorns and other condiments, mix well and marinate for ten minutes.
