Walnut and distracted wood porridge
Overview
It’s not that easy to be a model worker... Yesterday I went out to give a lecture. I was afraid of cold legs and wore high-heeled boots (my thickest boots are really high-heeled...). After standing for a day, I didn’t feel much better when I came back at night, and my feet didn’t feel tired. I soaked my feet in hot water for half an hour and went to bed early. As a result... my whole body started to hurt in the middle of the night. I was shaking all the time. I judged from experience that I had a fever, and it was not a low-grade fever. I shivered with a hot water bottle all night and almost fell asleep until early in the morning. Then I felt hotter and hotter, and my whole body was sweating. In the morning, I felt miraculously better. I went out to the canteen to buy eggs and felt refreshed~ I am really a Xiaoqiang~ What kind of warm foods do you like to eat in winter, such as walnuts, red dates, black sesame seeds and peanuts (to put it bluntly, they are foods that make you gain weight easily...). Walnuts are half and half from Shanxi and half from Xinjiang. I like to open them with a door clamp, which is much easier than using walnut pliers~ Most people hate the hard brown thing in the middle when eating walnuts. That is actually a good thing. It’s called walnut centipede wood. It is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine. It has a neutral nature and can absorb astringent essence. To put it bluntly, it is good for the kidneys. Winter is best for nourishing the kidneys. Don’t waste this good thing! The porridge is a little bitter when cooked, but good medicine tastes bitter haha~ Oh, I recommend everyone to read the book in the background, called "Jonathan the Seagull". The story is short but very inspirational, and it is not a bad chicken soup type inspiration. I plan to give it to the first-year undergraduate kid I am taking care of~
