Overview
A bread that does not need to be fermented. Although it is not as soft as other breads, it tastes a little chewy and has a strong buttery taste ~ very delicious [This recipe can make 8 croissants]

Steps
-
Prepare all the materials: A: 200g high-gluten flour, 100g low-gluten flour, 50g caster sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp dry yeast, 15g milk powder, 10g cheese powder, 1 egg, 90g water B: 30g unsalted butter C: 1 egg yolk, appropriate amount of white sesame seeds, appropriate amount of unsalted butter (melted)
-
Put all ingredients A into the bread bucket (first put the liquid, then the flour and finally the yeast), use the bread machine's dough mixing program, and mix for 20 minutes
-
Then add unsalted butter, use the bread machine's kneading program, and mix for another 20 minutes
-
Take the dough out of the bread machine, put it in a container, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rest for 20 minutes
-
Divide the dough into 8 equal parts, roll into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and rest for 10 minutes
-
Knead it with your hands into a teardrop shape
-
Use a rolling pin to roll it into a triangle
-
[It is not easy to roll out the teardrop shape. Here is a method: Hold the tip with one hand, and use a rolling pin to roll out the bottom with the other hand, so that the shape comes out]
-
Cut 6-7cm in the middle of the wide end, not too long or too short
-
Pull it to both sides to form a triangle, then roll it up, bending the two corners inward
-
Brush with egg yolk liquid and sprinkle with a little white sesame seeds. Preheat the oven at 160 degrees for 10 minutes before brushing [Be careful to reserve the space when arranging on the baking sheet, and don’t place it too densely, because the bread will expand during the baking process]
-
Bake: Up and down heat mode, 160 degrees, bake for 20 minutes (baking temperature and time are for reference only)
-
Bread is rising
-
Remove and brush with melted butter and continue baking for 5 minutes
-
Take it out again, brush with a layer of melted butter, and bake for about 5 minutes until the surface is golden brown
