  1. Wash fresh asparagus, remove the roots, and cut diagonally into thumb-long pieces.

  2. Heat a pot of water. When the water boils, add asparagus and a few drops of oil. Blanch the water and set aside.

  4. Shred the ginger, crush the garlic and cut into small pieces, and cut the millet and pepper into rings.
