Stone Pot Malatang
Overview
My son likes to eat spicy hotpot, especially fried tofu. I always feel that there are too many additives in Malatang out there, and eating too much is not good. I happened to have bone soup at home that day, so I decided to try making spicy soup at home. My son rated it very highly and said he would never eat out again in the future😄

Ingredients
Steps
-
Soak fern root powder in cold water in advance
-
Peel the potatoes and cut into thin slices, soak in water and set aside
-
Wash the vegetables and set aside. I have spinach, lettuce, coriander, Chinese cabbage, and lettuce sent by my father-in-law at home. I added a little of each
-
The tofu puffs are the leftovers from the previous frying
-
Add 2 tablespoons of sesame paste to a small bowl
-
Add appropriate amount of cold boiled water and stir into a flowable consistency
-
Add pork bone soup to the stone pot
-
Add onion and ginger
-
Add a spoonful of boiled fish red oil base
-
Add salt
-
Add sugar, stir well, and taste the soup after it boils. If there is not enough salt, add more. The soup should taste a little salty.
-
Then add the potato slices (it’s too early, the potatoes should be added later)
-
Add tofu puffs
-
Break the Chinese cabbage into large pieces and cook for one minute
-
Add other vegetables and cook for about 30 seconds
-
Soaked fern root powder
-
Turn over, turn the fern root powder to the bottom, and then remove the stone pot from the heat after boiling again
-
Add sesame paste and sprinkle with minced garlic
-
Add 1 tablespoon more chili oil
-
Mix well and eat
