Overview
The school teacher asked me to be a teaching assistant to teach the children how to make seasonal lotus root cakes. Fortunately, I felt that children would like interesting things, so I did some research and made this lotus root cake Neptune Star.

Ingredients Picture 2. Beat eggs into egg liquid and set aside. There is also an optional fruit and vegetable grater tool, which is not pictured inside.
-
Cut the lotus root into small pieces. You can also use a vegetable and fruit planer to plan the lotus root into minced lotus root. The difference is that if you use a tool, the minced lotus root will be very thin, and you can't taste the raw material with lotus root, and you will only feel the minced meat is refreshing; but if you cut it with a knife, you will have the grainy texture of lotus root when you bite it. Choose according to different personal preferences.
-
Chop the onion and ginger into mince and add to the meat filling.
-
Add appropriate amount of salt, sugar, white pepper and cooking wine to the meat filling to season. Add the chopped green onion and ginger, add the minced lotus root to the meat filling, and mix well.
-
Sprinkle some flour on the plate to prevent sticking.
-
Take a small ball of meat filling and put it into the flour.
-
Evenly apply the flour to the meat filling.
-
Flatten the first meat ball into a small meat patty shape.
-
Then, cut out five corners of the meatloaf into a starfish shape.
-
After pinching the stars, place them on a plate and prepare for frying.
-
Heat the oil pan until it is 50% hot. Put the starfish into the oil pan and fry. Remember, you must use low heat, otherwise, the inside will not be cooked in time.
-
After one side is fried, change to the other side. If the stars you pinch are relatively thin, just wait until the surface of the stars hardens; if they are thicker, fry them for a longer time until the corners of the stars are a little brown.
-
This is the fried star.
-
Put the fried stars into the egg liquid and slurry.
-
Then, put it in the bread crumbs.
-
Coat both sides evenly with bread crumbs.
-
Coat the stars with bread crumbs on both sides.
-
Fry both sides of the stars until they are lightly browned. Also use low heat and fry until the surface is a little bit brown.
-
Fried Neptune Star and put on a plate.
-
Twinkling and twinkling, the sky is filled with little stars. You're done.
