Sophora flower purple sweet potato steamed cake
Overview
The flowering period of Sophora japonica is about to pass, and I didn’t want to miss it, so I hurriedly made a few Sophora japonica delicacies. This steamed cake is not really a pastry because it is made with the ingredients on hand. Purple sweet potato, yam, and sophora japonica are all fresh ingredients along the way. Honey adds sweetness. Although it is not exquisite, it is full of color and fragrance.

Materials are ready.

Purple sweet potato and yam steamed;

Peel the purple sweet potato and press it into puree with a spoon. Use a blender to beat the yam into puree and set aside;

Wash and drain the Sophora japonica flowers, then mince them slightly;

Mix purple sweet potato puree with a little yam puree, add sophora japonica, glutinous rice flour, edible oil, and honey to make a dough;

Use a circle mold to press out glutinous rice cakes on the dough;

Steam the purple sweet potato and sophora flower cake over high heat for 20 minutes;
