Cuttlefish and Lotus Root Soup
Overview
At my mother-in-law's house in Hunan, she prepares one for me every Chinese New Year. It is a soup made from dried cuttlefish and lotus root. Very fragrant and glutinous, very delicious. This gave me, who grew up along the coast, a new understanding of dried cuttlefish. Now if I have nothing to do, I will also cook a soup like this so that my family can enjoy a bowl of it.
