Wontons
Overview
Wonton is a traditional snack originating from northern China, but it is popular in the south. In addition to being called wontons, they also have a wide variety of names. Cantonese call them wontons, Hubei calls them Baomian, Jiangxi calls them clear soups, and Sichuan people commonly call them Chaoshou. Sichuan people love spicy food, and there is a famous dish called Red Oil Chaoshou. (Chaoshou means holding your hand) With different wrapping methods, fillings and ingredients, wontons can evolve into a variety of delicious flavors.

Wash and cut green onions. Chop the pork, cut the old ginger into mince, add the chopped green onions and meat filling, beat in an egg, add minced ginger, a little sesame oil, salt, chicken essence, MSG, and thirteen spices. Use chopsticks or a spoon to beat the filling clockwise until smooth.

Take a piece of wonton wrapper and lay it flat in the palm of your hand. Use chopsticks to pick up an appropriate amount of meat filling and place it in the center of the wonton wrapper. Fold the wonton wrapper in half diagonally and pinch the corners tightly.

Use your middle finger to press the meat filling.
