Steps
-
Mix the yeast and sugar with warm water, mix the flour and milk powder, add the yeast water and mix into a dough, divide it into 4 large portions. (I didn’t knead the dough much) As long as it ferments in place, it will still be very soft)
-
Mash the bean curd with a spoon.
-
Take a piece of dough and roll it into a dough sheet, spread it with fermented bean curd, and roll it up from the bottom up.
-
Use a knife to cut into 8 equal parts. Repeat the third and fourth steps for the remaining 3 pieces of dough.
-
Separately place the cut mantou into a greased steamer and ferment in a warm place until 2.5 times in size. (The fermentation must be in place! Because it is only fermented once)
-
After filling the pot with water and bringing it to a boil, put the fermented mantou into the pot, cover it tightly, and steam over high heat for 15 minutes.
-
Steamed finished product. Tip: This amount can make 32 large mantou. If the amount is too much, cut all ingredients in half.
