Steps
-
Ingredients: flour, Arowana fresh rice, raisins and white sugar.
-
Pour the rice out of the jar and rinse it.
-
Soak in clean water for 1 hour.
-
Pour the rice into the rice breaker, add water, and use the juice function to beat twice.
-
Pour out the rice milk from the broken wall, add sugar and stir evenly.
-
Add flour.
-
Add baking powder and yeast powder and mix well.
-
Mix the batter, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it ferment slowly at room temperature. The fermented batter has expanded much more than before and has more small bubbles.
-
Now prepare a small bowl for steaming rice cakes. Brush the small bowl with a little oil so that it can be unmoulded after steaming.
-
Stir the fermented rice paste with chopsticks, then pour it into a small bowl, which should be about 70-80% full. Sprinkle washed raisins on the surface, and the raisins will slowly sink. I don’t have that many small bowls at home, so I had to use a larger bowl. Pour the batter into the bowl and let it rest for a while to let it wake up again. After the water in the steamer boils, steam it for 20 minutes. Once it cools down, you can take it out and eat it.
