Spicy and sour fern root powder
Overview
This is a restaurant dish. I like it so much that I made it at home

Ingredients
Steps
-
Soak the fern root powder in hot water first and soften it slightly
-
Bring water to a boil in a pot and add slightly soaked fern root powder
-
Use chopsticks to stir while cooking until the fern root powder is just tender and soft, then take it out and set aside
-
Add chili oil and Sichuan pepper oil, add light soy sauce and vinegar to the pot and cook over low heat
-
Use a tool to crush the garlic cloves into minced garlic
-
Add minced garlic to the pot
-
Add a little salt, chicken essence, and sugar, stir the sauce, and add chopped green onion
-
Put the fern root powder into the pot, continue to cook over low heat and stir, let the sauce absorb the flavor during the cooking process, cook the fern root powder until it is soft but chewy and take it out
-
Serve on a plate and sprinkle with chili peppers and green onions (if you like it very spicy, you can add chili peppers during the cooking process of the sauce. I don’t like spicy food very much, so I put it in when putting it on the plate at the end)
