Hunan style home-cooked tofu
Overview
There are many ways to make homemade tofu, which can be very complicated or very simple. What I want to introduce to you today is a simplified version of Hunan-style home-cooked tofu that I often make. It uses tofu and pork belly as the main ingredients, plus red pepper and tempeh. It is bright in color, delicious in taste and rich in nutrients.

Steps
-
Cut the tofu into small cubes, the thickness should not exceed 1 cm. If it is too thick, it will not be cooked in the middle, and if it is too thin, it will break easily during frying; slice the pork belly and lean meat into slices. Cut the pepper into rings, slice the garlic, shred the ginger, cut the garlic into diagonal sections, soak the tempeh in water for 2 minutes, wash and set aside;
-
Heat a pan (preferably a non-stick pan for this dish), add a small amount of cooking oil, put the pork belly into the pan and fry until the oil comes out. Add the lean meat in the middle and fry until the lean meat changes color. (If you want to eat fatter pork belly, don’t fry it for too long, otherwise you can fry the pork belly more dry)
-
Take the pork belly out and set aside, leaving the oil in the pot. If there is not enough oil, you can add some cooking oil. After heating, add the tofu and fry;
-
After one side of the tofu is browned, turn it over and fry the other side. After both sides are browned, take it out and set aside, leaving the oil in the pan;
-
Add the onions, ginger and garlic to the pot and stir-fry for a while, then add the chili peppers and continue to stir-fry for about 1 minute;
-
Put the previously fried meat and tofu into the pot, add black beans and salt and stir-fry for a while, then add a small amount of water;
-
After the water boils, pour an appropriate amount of light soy sauce, mix well with a spatula, and then take it out of the pot and put it on a plate;
