After cleaning the yam, peel off the skin.

If the yam is easily oxidized and turns black after being peeled, you can wash it, steam it and then peel it to keep the white color.

Put the steamed yam into a blender and puree.

Prepare glutinous rice flour and starch. If you like the soft and waxy texture, you can increase the amount of glutinous rice flour and reduce the amount of starch.

Add sugar and two powders to the mixer.

Stir for half a minute to combine.

Place a plate with plastic wrap, brush with a layer of salad oil, and pour the mixed yam batter.

Chop the red and green shreds and sprinkle on top.

Put it in the steamer and steam it for about 10 minutes.
