Pearl glutinous rice balls
Overview
Glutinous rice is good for nourishing blood and stopping bleeding, nourishing yin and replenishing deficiency. It is a good product for women to prevent miscarriage and benefit the lungs. Sometimes when I like to cook and treat myself, I make this favorite glutinous rice and meatballs.

Prepare all the ingredients, wash the glutinous rice and soak it for 4 hours. This will make the glutinous rice even glutinous after steaming. Then drain the glutinous rice into a bowl and set aside.

Chop green onions and set aside

Grate a carrot into shreds and set aside

Put the pork stuffing into a bowl, add eggs, salt, minced ginger, light soy sauce, pepper, and five-spice powder. Stir vigorously in one direction to mix evenly. Stir for 10 minutes to make the meatballs chewy.

Wash the quail eggs, boil them in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes, remove and cool, peel and set aside

Wrap the mixed meat filling with the quail eggs and beat them into a ball

Roll the beaten meatballs into the drained glutinous rice until the meatballs are covered with glutinous rice and the meat filling is invisible.

Put the steamer on the fire, pour enough water into the steamer, put the glutinous rice meatballs in the steamer, steam over high heat for 15-20 minutes, until cooked. (I steamed it for 15 minutes to test the size of the meatballs)
