Wash the pork liver and remove the fascia.

Cut into moderately sized pieces.

Wash the pork liver repeatedly and soak it in clean water for 30 minutes, changing the water several times until you see clear water. This can remove harmful substances from pig liver.

Add pork liver, onion, ginger, aniseed, pepper, sweet noodle sauce, soy sauce, cooking wine, and salt to the pot.

Bring to a boil over high heat.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 40 minutes.
