Braised Beans and Tofu
Overview
Cowpea is neutral in nature, sweet and salty in taste, and returns to the spleen and stomach meridians. It has the effects of replenishing qi, strengthening the stomach and kidneys, harmonizing the five internal organs, rejuvenating the skin and nourishing the body, regenerating essence, diluting dampness and astringing essence, and relieving thirst. Mainly used for spleen and stomach weakness, diarrhea, dysentery, vomiting, thirst, kidney deficiency and low back pain. Tofu is also a nutritious plant protein that is easy to digest. The weather in summer is hot and it is not suitable to eat too much meat, so eat more plant protein to supplement your nutritional needs. Red peppers are high in vitamin C. This is a healthy home-cooked vegetarian dish. Quick and easy, no sweat in the kitchen.
