Overview

This rice dumpling was made by my mother, but don’t underestimate how the recipe is simplified into a few steps. It took her a long time to wrap it, and it took a long time to cook it, and then she shared some with her children... I don’t know how hard it is to make, but I can make a rice dumpling in just a few minutes... Children like to eat the rice dumplings made by my grandma!

  1. After the glutinous rice is soaked, mix it with salted chicken powder and oil and set aside. Mix the meat with salt and five-spice powder. Mix the mung beans, dried shrimps, millet seeds, and shallots with all the seasonings.

  7. Wrap it into the shape you like and tie it firmly with straw rope

  9. Cook the wrapped rice dumplings over medium heat for more than 5 hours. Let the rice dumplings cool and then store them in the refrigerator.
