Hakka Tangyuan
Overview
There are two steps to making Hakka glutinous rice balls: knead the glutinous rice into glutinous rice balls and cook them in boiling water until they float. Fry the mushrooms, dried shrimps, shredded pork, and leeks separately. After frying, add the broth and sprinkle some oil on the pan to crisp up the green onions. The glutinous rice balls and ingredients are cooked separately and finally brought together. The soup base is very important, preferably good quality chicken soup.

Prepare materials.

Mix glutinous rice flour with water to form a dough.

Divide the dough into equal portions.

Knead the divided ingredients into glutinous rice balls.

Cut the leeks into inch-long sections.

Cut mushrooms into slices.

Wash the shrimp skin and drain the water. Add oil in a wok over low heat and sauté the shrimp skin until fragrant.

Add mushrooms and stir-fry.

Finally add the leeks and stir-fry together.

Add water to the pot. Put the glutinous rice balls into the pot and cook

Add another pot to the soup stock, scoop the cooked glutinous rice balls into the soup stock, add the fried leeks and mushrooms, add pepper and sesame oil.
