Wash the home-made spinach and blanch it in boiling water.

Stew freshly stewed duck soup with barley, yam and ginger slices.

Add cooked rice to the stewed duck soup and soak for ten minutes, then bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for fifteen minutes, add spinach. A bowl of fragrant duck soup and spinach porridge will do the trick.
