Appetizing Steamed Chicken Feet
Overview
Cantonese-style morning tea, a cage of chicken feet and a pot of tea, are Laoguang’s classic morning tea. If you are not in Guangzhou, or you don’t want to queue up for morning tea. You can also make delicious appetizing steamed chicken feet at home. The skin is soft and flabby, the meat is tender and fragrant, melts in the mouth, leaves a fragrant mouthful, and is delicious and tempting.

Wash chicken feet and remove nails;

Boil water, put in chicken feet and blanch to remove dirt and blood;

Take it out and use absorbent kitchen paper towels to absorb the water;

Heat the pan, pour an appropriate amount of oil, when the oil is warm, pour in the chicken feet and fry until slightly brown; PS: Remember to cover the lid when frying to prevent oil splashing and burns.

Put the fried chicken feet into ice water and soak until they swell; PS: Use ice water or ice cubes.

Soak the swollen chicken feet, remove and drain the water, add red pepper, onion, garlic, tempeh, 5ml of oil, light soy sauce, cooking wine, ginger, salt, oil, star anise and bay leaves and mix well;

Mix the chicken feet well and put them into the steamer; PS: You can put lotus leaves or rice dumpling leaves on the bottom of the steamer.

Steam over water for 12 minutes.
