Edible lace - red bean paste lace

Edible lace - red bean paste lace

Overview

Does this cake look good? The layer of black lace wrapped outside has become the soul of this cake’s appearance! Friends may have questions: lace is good-looking, but the cake has to be eaten. Can lace be eaten? Don’t worry, this lace is made of bean paste, 100% edible, and the ingredients used are common materials in our lives. I've known the recipe for bean paste lace for a long time, it was posted by my friend Mi Si Baking. But there is an ingredient in that recipe called edible glycerin, and the original author said it cannot be replaced. I've always been a little confused about this edible glycerin. I don't know if it has any effect on the body. And I can't buy a big bottle just to use 5 grams of glycerin, right? After all, I don’t know if it has any other uses. It’s just that for such a beautiful thing, I feel a bit reluctant if I don’t try it myself. If I think of failure, I will fail. How will I know if it doesn’t work if I don’t give it a try? Hence today’s recipe.

Steps

  1. Put all the ingredients in the ingredient list into a small bowl and mix evenly. Bamboo charcoal powder is edible and its main function is to adjust the color. If you don’t mind, you don’t need to use it.

  3. Pour cold water into the pot. After the water boils, steam for 13 minutes until it becomes solid. When steaming, I was afraid of water vapor dripping into the bowl, so I used a bamboo steamer lid.

  6. Place the shaved lace mold in a warm and ventilated place for more than 6 hours to dry. I put it on the balcony.
