General Tso's Chicken
Overview
In late autumn, when I want to gain weight but also lose weight, I chose chicken legs and made a dish of General Tso's Chicken as a token of my honour.

The purchased lute legs were taken out of the refrigerator and thawed.

Remove the chicken bones with a knife.

Cut into small cubes.

Put it into a glass plate and add 2 spoons of cooking wine.

Add salt and five-spice powder and mix well.

Beat in 1 egg.

Mix well.

Pour in cornstarch.

Mix well and marinate for half an hour.

Wash the green and red peppers and cut into small pieces.

Heat oil in a pan.

When the oil is 50% hot, add the chicken legs and fry.

Fry until golden and crispy.

Leave the oil in the pot and sauté the shallots and minced garlic.

Add appropriate amount of water and tomato paste.

Add white sugar.
-
Add light soy sauce.

Add balsamic vinegar.
-
Add water starch to thicken.

Cook until thickened.

Add green and red peppers and stir-fry.
-
Add chicken and stir-fry.

Turn off the heat and remove from the pot.
