Refreshing cold dish------------【Spicy pea jelly】
Overview
My family often makes jelly, but I haven’t taken any photos. I think it’s too simple, as if it’s unnecessary. In fact, people like it more the simpler it is, and it doesn’t require too complicated techniques. It really has zero failure. I used to make sweet potato jelly often, and it tastes good. It seems that pea jelly tastes stronger than sweet potato jelly, so this time I went to the South China Seafood Market to buy pea starch. There is a store that sells whole grains. They have all kinds of whole grains, as well as seasonings. This time I just tried to ask if there was pea starch. I didn’t expect it to be there. I was very excited. I weighed a pound immediately and started making it when I got home. The finished product was good. Some people put starch water under boiling water. My method is to put cold water into the pot, then start to heat it over medium and low heat, and stir constantly. The jelly made is equally elastic. I have tried both methods. When boiling water is put into the pot, the starch water will form a lot of lumps and cannot be stirred. Generally, novices have not done this before and will be in a hurry. If cold water is put into the pot, that will not happen.
