I weighed a pound immediately and started making it when I got home. The finished product was good. Some people put starch water under boiling water. My method is to put cold water into the pot, then start to heat it over medium and low heat, and stir constantly. The jelly made is equally elastic. I have tried both methods. When boiling water is put into the pot, the starch water will form a lot of lumps and cannot be stirred. Generally, novices have not done this before and will be in a hurry.
