【Zhouzhuang】Wan San Ti
Overview
I have been in Suzhou for almost ten years, and I have gradually adapted to Suzhou’s sweet but not greasy food, and have gradually become a new Suzhou native. When friends from their hometown come to Suzhou to visit, they usually look for me, a half-Suzhou native, to play and eat with them. Zhouzhuang is a must-visit attraction because Zhouzhuang is an ancient water town with a history of more than 900 years in the south of the Yangtze River in China, and the delicacy there - Wan San Ti is worth tasting. Entering Zhouzhuang, I told my friend the origin of Wan San Ti: In the early years of the Ming Dynasty, Shen Wansan was very wealthy. Zhu Yuanzhang went to Suzhou to visit and had dinner at Shen Wansan's house in the evening. One of the dishes was this hoof. Zhu Yuanzhang asked: What dish is this? Since the emperor's surname is Zhu, it cannot be said to be pig's trotters. Shen Wansan patted his thigh and replied: This is Wansan's hooves! The emperor asked again, so big , the chopsticks are not easy to hold, what should I do? No one can use a knife in front of the emperor. Shen Wansan smiled slightly, pulled out a thin bone from the hoof and used the bone as a knife, and cut the hoof into several pieces. This also shows that the hoof was stewed with great skill. Zhu Yuanzhang was very happy, so the name of Wansan Hoof spread. After hearing the story, my friend looked at the attractive Wan San Ho in the store and bought the Wan San Ho without hesitation. I said you should keep the Wansan Ho you bought and take it home, and eat the Wan San Hoo I made tonight. My friend is a senior foodie and he was full of praise for my Wan San Ho.
